We are continually
upgrading our facilities to provide a higher level of service that we can offer
to our clients. We are able to provide a peaceful, calm
surrounding for horses to relax and recover particularly from injury or
illness. |
The
facilities include:-
|
Stabling -
We have stables of various sizes from 12 x 12 upwards. These have been built in
traditional farm buildings which give good ventilation and most boxes provide
the occupant with company either by touch or visual depending on the horse's
requirements. We have found this very relaxing for those horses restricted to
their box due to injury or young horses that are away from home for the first
time. |
Equine Hydrotherapy
Spa - This is to assist and speed recovery of lower leg problems. It is
also used as a preventative measure on all types of horses from racehorse to
performance horse, show horse to hack. |
|
Horsewalker - With this we are able to give horses
controlled slow exercise. Invaluable when introducing horses back into work
after rest. Also maintains a certain level of fitness.
|
Solarium - Promotes muscle tone, improves performance,
reducing warm up time prior to work out, reducing recovery time through
treatment after work, reducing latic acid build up. promotes production of
Vitamin D essential to healthy horses often lacking in stabled horses and
speeds up drying time after washing off
|
Large
Outdoor Arena - A securely fenced arena - 45m x 25m with sand and rubber
mix surface provides a stable surface for working all kinds of horses including
those returning from injury.
 |
Round
Pen - This provides a small, safe working area to give horses remedial
exercise including lunging, free work, pole work and to practise "Join Up"
techniques as necessary .
This also provides a safe area for the
starting and initial schooling of youngsters or retraining of
racehorses.
 |
| Isolation/Foaling
Box - We have 2 stables which are fitted with CCTV to allow a horse to be
observed 24 hours if necessary. This allows the care of either a foaling mare
or a sick horse. |
