water spa that uses the combination of salt concentration, water temperature,
areation of water and water depth to assist lower leg problems in the recovery
and prevention. |
| Physiotherapy - A Chartered Phyiotherapist regularly visits
the Centre. Physiotherapy is used to assist acute a wide range of injuries or
problems in the horse. |
| Laser Treatment - This treatment is used for wound healing,
pain control, soft tissue injuries. The Laser treatment is carried out by a
Chartered Physiotherapist. |
| Ultrasound Treatment - Ultrasound is suitable for various
injuries including soft tissue injuries, surgical wounds, chronic arthritis
conditions, scar tissue and circulatory conditions. Again this treatment is
only available from a Chartered Physiotherapist, |
| Physical Exercise - A range of programmes can be arranged to
assist your horse's recovery - build up strength and muscle tone before being
able to resume full work. These include exercise on the horsewalker, lunging,
ridden exercise and pole work in hand. |
| Remedial Farrier - Our farrier is able to assess the
conformation of the horse's foot and recommend a programme of treatment. This
may only be balancing the foot correctly or remedial shoeing. |
| Equissage - A unique Cycloid
Massage which was originally developed for humans and incorporates a unique
three way effect which helps to stimulate circulation to the affected areas and
encourages the healing process for common conditions such as haematomas, pulled
ligaments and swellings |
| Magnotherapy - A range of Bioflow
magnotherapy products to increase circulation in the horse - increasing energy
and reducing recovery time. A pulsed magnetic rug is also used as
required. |
