Rehabilitation

We can offer this type of livery for owners who do not have the time or the specialist facilities to give their horses during recovery following an injury or post-operation. We can cater for most types of problems.

Horses may require rehabilitation :-

After injury, trauma or illness
Following surgery
Following correction of foot imbalance
To assist the management of specific conditions such as tendon injury.

For horses needing a controlled exercise or feeding programme under the direction and advice of a veterinary surgeon, maybe after a stay at an equine hospital, we are able to undertake that individual care and attention and assist your horse on the road to recovery. We have various techniques and servcices which can be used to aid individual problems and needs.

Remedial Exercise - The aims of these techniques will improve strength and flexibility, restore a normal range of movement, improve balance, stamina and athletisism.
Equissage - delivers unique Cycloid Massage
Complementary Therapies - we use a range of these from using herbs to magnotherapy products.

To assist your horses recovery our facilities include brick built stables of various sizes including indoor barns to allow a freedom of movement. All stables have automatic waterers and are bedded on our own farm produced straw but we can accommodate other types of bedding. All horses are fed ad-lib locally produced haylage. Any addititional supplements or medication can be administered according to veterinary or owners instructions.

Other facilities include a solarium, Individual turnout paddocks, further grazing in small groups, round pen and a Monarch Horse Walker and a cold water equine spa.

Regular visiting specialist include equine veterinary, physiotherapist, remedial farrier and alternative therapists provide a wider approach to assist every horse recovery.

All of this combined with a quiet relaxing atmosphere and individual care will help your horse to return to full health whilst ensuring that you have complete peace of mind.

Our priority is the complete care of your horse during its stay. We aim to provide your horse with an individual programme to produce the best results possible to am improved quality of healing and a speedier recovery. We liaise with yourself and either your vet or ours.
